Hello everyone,
Just a quick note to let everyone know that the 8.2.0 maintenance release of PCStitch Pro was published today. From your help menu, choose Check For Updates to download and install this free update.
The big new feature is the addition of Strands in the printouts...
Sincerely, Troy Riegle |

I already updated mine, Troy!
There's one problem though! Since the update where you fixd the bug where the pdf files had lines on them, everytime I try to print a pdf file, it only prints the top left corner of the pages. I know this has nothing to do with the PDF writer, because I use it quite often (several times a day) with other applications. I hope you can fix this as soon as possible as I really need the pdf running, . Thanks.

Hello,
I will do my best, but I can not be responsible PDF software from another company not working correctly.. PCStitch Pro is creating correct printouts to preview and print, so I would think the issue might be with the PDF software you are using. I have used PCStitch Pro with Acrobat and have no trouble creating output.. What software are you using?
What I did with the other PDF problem was a graphic issue drawing the center points on the pattern grid pages. I understand why that would have caused the line issue in Acrobat. What I changed would not have an effect on the pattern size of the printout..
Sincerely, Troy |

I use Acrobat too! If I print in high quality I have no problems at all. and yes, the line is not there anymore, but if I print in normal quality, it only prints a quarter of the page!
Might not have anything to do with PCStitch.
Anyway, thanks for looking at it!

I have successfully created PDFs from the systems in our office without a problem.. That being said, it could be a combination problem between the PDF software and the printer driver. I doubt it though...
Does the pattern preview ok? (Most of the code is the same between preview and print). Can you email me one of the PDF documents so that I can see the problem?

Hello,
I posted this on another thread, but I want to post it here also as many seem to be having trouble with creating PDF documents.... Maybe we can figure this one out together..
************ From the print/preview screen in PCStitch, there is a Printer Setup button next to the printer selector. Please go in there and check to see what the paper size is set to for your printer. I have a system in my office where it is blank if I print to adobe. If I create the pdf with a blank paper setting, I see what you are seeing... If I set the paper size to "letter", then it works correctly.
I am not sure why this is happening in the adobe PDF software, but I will continue to research it. Do you see the same thing on your system, and if so, does setting the paper size correctly resolve the problem?
Thanks,
Troy |
