I am thinking of purchasing a scanner so I can convert some of my own art work to patterns. I would appreciate some advice on what type of scanner works well - brand, etc. Any suggestions on what to consider when choosing a scanner for this purpose are welcomed.

Thanks

I don't know if you have already purchase a scanner or not, but it is best to get a all in one printer. A printer has these features: print, scan, and fax and I believe they do much more than just what I have listed..but these are a must have for now a day printers.

It's a personal preference and it something you and only you would have to go out and decide on what printer would suit your purpose best.

I hope this helps and I just join the forum a couple days ago. You have probably moved on to something else since this post was last posted.

Thanks for the advice. Haven't purchased one yet. Good luck with designing. It's fun.

Correction:

A scanner is just as good too. I didn't realize how cheap they are. I just checked walmart's website and Wow.

I used to have Visioneers scanners back when I had win98, but since I have upgraded to winxp...the scanner became obsolete...

What kind of PC do you have or own and do you have a printer already?
