I have been using PCStitch since the early 90's. My first program was for Windows 3.11, so I have been a loyal customer for quite some time, and I know your program like the back of my hand. Up to now, I have been designing charts for my own use only, but I am now going to sell my charts. I LOVE the fact that PCStitch has the option of using both 1/4 and 3/4 stitches in a chart, and 1/2 stitches for that matter. However, I have a BIG problem with the way they look when printed as a chart (black and white with stitches printed as symbols). The 1/4 and 1/2 stitches are unusable - the symbols are so tiny that they are almost unreadable, and then to add insult to injury, there is a line printed through them, so that they are completely unreadable. The 3/4 stitches look fine, and could be used in place of 1/4 stitches if the chart doesn't have both 1/4 and 3/4 stitches in it. Most of mine do. So, I either have to use both 1/4 and 3/4 stitches in the chart and have the 1/4 stitches unreadable, or use only 3/4 stitches in the chart, and use two different symbols for the same color of floss - one for what are supposed to be the 1/4 stitches, and one for 3/4. Both options are unacceptable to me. I have found another program that prints both the 1/4 and the 3/4 stitches the same, but adds a diagonal line across the square for the 3/4 stitch, to differentiate them. PCStitch could do one better by adding slight shading to the 3/4 stitches as well. I REALLY don't want to have to change software. Can this problem be fixed and provided to registered users as an upgrade? I won't be marketing my designs for at least 4 months, so if it could be rectified by them, I would continue to be a happy PCStitch user. Please advise. Thank you.

Did you ever get a reply on this one? I have just had PC Stitch Pro 9 for a few months and have gotten myself into designing a project for sale. I share your frustration on the 1/4 and 3/4 stitches and the way they print. Hope you have found a way.

Have you guys thought of a way you could overcome this problem by explaining it in the 'notes' section that goes with the pattern?

The only way I've found of making 1/2 and other fractional stitches readable on patterns, is to make sure that you print the chart large enough for them to be seen clearly. Also, you can duplicate a colour on the palette, giving the fractional stitches a UNIQUE symbol - therefore you know that all of that symbol are of that stitch type. Hope that helps as a workaround?
