I am thinking about purchasing this program. But I have no way of knowing a few things because it's a demo. What file extensions can you save as and export as? The only reason I am getting this is so that I can create patterns for my mother in law since I have a pc and she doesn't. But I want to be able to email the patterns to her sister to print up or will I have to print them up for her? Also, are there any differences in the saving/exporting between the regular and the pro? Thanks in advance for any help!

You can export your actual display as an image (.jpg) but the actual file is ONLY as a .PAT file. As a free viewer is available, that is not that bad. I've not done much with exporting and that only with PRO as a version 7 (Standard) .PAT file.

However, if you have something like PrimoPdf or another virtual PDF printer, you can "Print" to a .pdf and it can be opened with Adobe (or FoxIt or another similar Adobe clone).
