I am wondering if there was a way to make the patterns I design into PDF's to the app Pattern keeper? I love PC Stitch and do not want another cross stitch pattern maker!! Or what is the resolution of the export in PC Stitch?
The way to create PDFs with PCStitch is to PRINT to a virtual printer (PDFs). Most PDF readers have a virtual printer as part of the install so it can be selected from the print dialog (just select it from the drop-down menu of printers available). I personally use the one built into Foxit. There are also stand-alone products but I find these built-in ones faster and more convenient. Even Adobe has the ability.
Export to a jpg is inconvenient because it is just the image -- not the key!
Note -- one advantage of the .pat format is it is independent of zoom-blur! Any jpg or pdf can be zoomed into to make the pattern easier to use but the symbols will ALWAYS blur because you are just expanding a static image. PCStitch files are coded for the symbols independently of the visual image so when you zoom, it just chooses the appropriate size of the symbol - no blur!
