I am recharting a stitch-along pattern into color, and I can't find the Variegated and Color Variations colors in any DMC listing. Are these coming in an update? Is there an update available for these? I allow the software to check for updates whenever it asks and I've not had anything recently.

You don't say what version of PCStitch you are using. Updates don't normally handle that from what I remember. However, I just looked at PCStitch 11. I bring up the available colors (with "DMC Stranded Cotton" as default) and if I click on the arrow, the next two items are: DMC Variations (starting with 4000) and DMC Variegated (under 100).
I hope this is what you need.

I have PC Stitch 10. 10.00.023 to be exact. And it's the 4000 series that I'm talking about. So I need to upgrade my software to 11?

Ellen,
PCStitch 10 does have the DMC Color Variations (4000 level) colors. If you're looking at "DMC Stranded Cotton", scroll UP on that drop-down menu. Or, go up one more level to just DMC and the entire list is there -- all the numbers.
For support purposes, I have both 10 and 11 installed but 10 is a little more difficult for me to access (not on the main menu line). I dropped previous versions, just too old.

Diane, I did what you said on the drop down menu, and I only have DMC Pastels, DMC Silk, and DMC Light Effects, as well as the DMC Stranded Cotton. I don't see Variegated or Variations in the drop down menu. Nor the 4000 number range.

Kay Lyn,
I apologize. You could be right. I did some more checking on my PCStitch 10. I have the myriaCross product that adds extra palettes to PCStitch. That may be where I got it. It does include some of the same flosses that are part of PCStitch but a lot more. It does list the variations in it's list. I'm not sure the cost. It's not been updated in some time so I don't know if the site is even still active. I've not heard from the developer in several years. It only lists through Pro 9 as working with but should work with all versions of PCStitch as long as the format hasn't changed. The retail price listed is $14.95 (US).
