First, let me say that I am for the most part enjoying PCStitch 10. I feel I'm getting the hang of it and am enjoying many of the new bells and whistles.

Now to my library issues...I would like to delete some of the default libaries. There are quite a few that contain motifs I'd never use, but I can't find a way to delete them. I did discover how to delete individual motifs in a library, but not the library itself.

Any help would be great appreciated!

Pam, I would not recommend actually deleting the default libraries. Many of them were, up until this version, only available at a separate charge. You may change your mind later.

I would recommend zipping the ones you don't want. Now just how you do what you need to do depends on your operating system and for PCStitch 10, it needs to be XP or greater.

Just find where the libraries are located. for Vista, it is C:\ProgramData\PCStitch 10\Libraries. I believe Windows 7 is the same as Vista. In XP, I believe it is something with All Users.

Now, with the Libraries folder OPEN in Windows Explorer (list of contents showing on the right side), create a new folder under Libraries called "Unneeded" or some such to recognize your intent.

Then just move (cut/paste) each library you don't wish to keep to the sub-folder. If PCStitch doesn't see the libraries, they will not be available. However, be aware that every time you upgrade PCStitch, you'll probably have to repeat this (at least this last step)!

Good Luck.

Diane

Thanks for the speedy reply, Diane. I took your excellent advice and moved the libraries I didn't want to a separate folder. It worked perfectly, thanks again!
