Just purchased this software so that I could import a scanned image (scripture verse from a wedding program). I can't get the program to do anything I want it to with the scanned image. I need to resize it, and make the text all in black. It is making the decorative scrollwork at the top and bottom of the page into 4 or 5 colors when it should all be gray. I can only get an error message when I try to get online support. Should I just bag this project and graph it myself? Any help would be hugely appreciated. Mary Beth

First - I moved this thread to a more appropriate forum. If you are using Standard rather than Pro, I'll move it again.

Now, PCStitch is designed to import IMAGES. Those images work best if they are TINY (best is number of pixels in the design = number of stitches desired). That is an 8" X 10" pattern on 14 count fabric would mean an image of 112 X 140 pixels. That is too small to handle text.

PCStitch is NOT designed to import this kind of pattern. You might try it as an underlay and where you see the image, create the appropriate color stitches on top of it. You can remove the underlay late.

As for the error message you received trying to get online support, I suggest you use "contact us" on the main site to contact Mark about that error. Remember that this is a US product and it is a holiday today so you should not expect a response until AT LEAST tomorrow. I'm a volunteer and I'm just checking things.

Good Luck,

Diane
