I am having trouble uninstalling your software from my old machine. I get the following:
InstallScript Setup Launcher has encounterd a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvienience.
The details Refer to setup.exe pcsthumbext.dll
Now I cant remove it and the software doesnt run anymore. What are the next steps? |

Try re-installing it over the current install and then uninstalling it. That may correct the missing file problem.

| try doing a search for the so called corrupted files then delete them or if you know how to, check the windows registry. |

What are the full details of the error message?
Try rebooting your PC and then uninstalling PCStitch as the first thing you do after the reboot.

Can you try booting your PC in safe mode and uninstalling PCStitch from there?

The security on newer versions of Windows makes a lot of things difficult. You can try this.
Click Start->All Programs->Accessories then right click Command Prompt and choose Run As Administrator
Enter the following commands
CD \Program Files\PCStitch 9 regsvr32 /u pcsthumbext.dll exit
then reboot and see if you can uninstall.

I tried to run that command but the file didnt exisit and I received the same error, I found it installed in the windows system32 folder. So I ran the install a couple of times and now it was able to uninstall.
Strange, but it worked, thanks for helping. |

I have no idea how that worked unless somehow it finally created a good copy of the file you needed.
That's something to add in the book of tricks - try install multiple times and THEN try uninstall.

It was really strange, I dont usually install something more than once but I accedently ran the install twice and then went to uninstall, then it worked.
Very Weird |
