Hello everyone

Is there a way to change the default setting for a symbols font from PC Stitch 3 to PC Stitch for the duration of the pattern?
I am copying in some old patterns and want to retain the symbols I used; most seem to be on the PC Stitch 2 font. I know I can select them individually by changing the default setting for each symbol - is there a quicker way to make the PC Stitch 2 font the default so I don't have to keep changing it for each symbol?
(Like in 'Word' you can change the default font for documents so documents always open in the font you want)

Thanks again for all your help and assistance since I purchased PC Stitch 9.

I hope you all have a brilliant Holiday Season and Happy - and Prosperous - New Year

Daisy,

Just look at the Symbols panel. At the top there is the name of the font in a box. Click on the "A" button beside it and you can choose whatever font you want. It will be associated with that pattern.

Hello Diane

That's what I've been doing, but every time I click on a different colour on the palette to change the symbol, it reverts to default PC Stitch 3 font - is there not a way to keep open the different font I've chosen (e.g. PC Stitch 2)?

Try this: Change the font to the one you want. Then click on "Tools" at the top and slide to the right on "Palette Tools". The first option might be what you need. Once you get all the symbols to the font you want, SAVE it.
