I can not seem to find instruction to transfer my personal graphics (borders, fonts, patterns, etc.) to the libraies on my new computer.
I have made many varies attemps with no success. I can view the patterns but can now activate the borders to chang them. |

The borders, fonts, and so forth are in special folders. Depending on your operating system, they may be in different places. Look for where the default ones are located on your new machine to show where they go. I think you should just have to copy them to the correct folder for them to be recognized.

What version of PCStitch do you have, and what version of Windows is runningon the old and new computers? WHere the files are is different based on those things.

| I am running PCStitch 9 Pro on each computer. The old computer is a Dell XP using Windows (2005?) ,the new one is a Dell Studio running Window 7. |

Are the libraries, fonts, etc ... tat you are trying to move from the Pattern Pieces CD's? If so, you will need to install them Pattern Pieces CD's on the new computer so the registration information will be correct.

| No. These are font, graphics, boarders, and pattern pieces that I have created and saved in libraries I created or added to in the program on my computer. The only way I have been able to access these items is to weld them to the patterns I created than copy, paste, and redraw them on a new pattern. Since I have more than fifty patterns, 30 boarders, and many graphics this is time consuming and I was trying to find a quicker way. |

If it's anything like with Vista, then you should look in the folder "ProgramData" (it is usually a hidden folder so you may have to set your Windows Explorer to show hidden folders temporarily).
Look for a folder under "ProgramData" called "PCStitch 9". It should have sub-folders for your borders (.bdr), library pieces (.plb), Stitched Fonts (.stf), custom stitches (.cxs). If your files were created using PCStitch 9, you should just have to copy the files into the appropriate folders.

The easiest thing to do would be to do a searchon your entire hard drive on the old pc for *.plb, *.stf, and *.bdr, then copy the files directly from your results window to a cd or usb drive and then copy them into the same folder structure on your new pc.
