Posted - 03/03/2008 : 16:41:47 HI,
I have downloaded the demo version of PC Stitch Standard and have been playing with it the last several days, actually trying to.
I have a new laptop, just over a month old and it has Vista Home Premium.
I play with an image I import and work with editing it, abt 5 minutes into this the screen goes clouded and I get a message that PC Stitch program has stopped working and Windows is looking for a solution, no solution is found and the program shuts down.
I would like to purchase the program but won't if I can't figure out what is going on.
Any idea's?
Thanks Pam |

Posted - 03/04/2008 : 08:16:17 I'm glad you found the problem.
The problem wasn't PCStitch but some communication glitch involving your mouse. It may have been just a coincidence that it happened while using PCStitch.
I also use PCStitch (pro) under Vista and I currently have no problems. I hope you continue to enjoy your new "toy".

Posted - 03/03/2008 : 20:58:36 I did the uninstall and reinstall and it still happened but I found what the problem is incase anyone else ever runs into the same thing. I was using the 7.0.20 version so it was the up to date version downloaded direct from the website.
I would use my built in mouse scroll on the laptop and it was what was causing the problem. As soon as I would use it the error issue popped up.
I now have a wireless mouse and I have not had the problem since.
I have since purchased the program and already am having lot's of fun.
Thanks Pam |

What version of PCStitch Standard do you have? Only the latest version works with Vista. For pro, you must have 8.03 or better for Vista support.
I have full PCStitch Standard 7.00.20 and it works fine for me. I also have Pro 8.03.08 and it also works fine.
I suggest you try an uninstall followed by a re-install. It's possible that something didn't install properly.
