Is there a way to fill areas within a backstitched outline with a single color? I've tried using the Paint tool, but it doesn't seem to pay attention to the backstitched area, but instead fills everything in the whole pattern that doesn't already have a stitch. Having something like that would be useful when creating a design so that you could outline areas in backstitching, then fill them without having to place each individual stitch.

Thanks.

Backstitching is not considered stitching for the purposes of the fill/paint feature. You need to add stitches, either inside the backstitch line our outside of it and then fill the middle. Only full stitches are a block for the fill. Even the 3/4 and 1/4 stitches don't stop it.

Is that a feature that could be considered for a future release? I've created some lettering styles that would be nice to have as both outline (backstitch only) and filled in, and be able to change between them without having to retype all the lettering.

All I can say is to add the request on the thread for that purpose.
