Hi,
I've every 10th grid line set to different colour (gray, to be exact). It can be seen in Export image preview. But there are all grid lines the same in the jpg. Is it a bug, or a "feature"?
Thanks a lot :)

I finally got a chance to check this out. You're right. I have no idea if it's a bug or "feature". I suggest you email Mark about it. It's not using the normal display characteristics without that bolder grid line.

Where are you setting the options? The Export function uses the settings from the Tools->Options->Printer Settings->Grid Line Settings options.

Mark,
In Tools->Options->Printing->Grid Line Settings the Bold grid line width is set to 5, color black. When the pattern is printed every tenth line is bold but when the pattern is exported as a jpeg, the grid is part of the exported image, but all the grid lines look identical.

Thanks,
Terry

I just tried it here, and I didn't see the problem. What is the exact version of Pro you are running?> You can get the revision level in the About menu selection under the Help menu.

As I wrote in another post, I am having the same problem. And my program regularly updates so it must be the newest version.

If you go to my blog http://worldaccordingtoagi.blogspot.com/, the first two images were made today. In the first one I drew the lines in Paint. The second one is how the jpg file looks after exporting. But having a program like PCStitch Pro and having to use Paint to correct the image doesn't sound right.
Here is my system info:

Version Information:
App Version: 09.01.08
OS Version: 5.1.2600.196608
CLR Version: 2.0.50727.3615
Docking Pane Version: 12.0.2
Toolbar Version: 12.0.2
SkinFrameWork Version: 12.0.2
Taskpanel Version: 12.0.2
Comm Upload Version: 1.3.2
Comm HTTP Version: 2.5.2
Comm Mail Manager Version: 7.9.2

Can you sort it out, please? Thank you.

I just got the program today, charted my design, and when I export to .jpg I have the same issue. My settings are to black, 5 width, every 10v and 10h. They appear on my screen, but when I insert the image into a document, they are gone.

I tried playing around with the width of the lines at the setting, nothing changes when I export them, still no lines.
Someone suggested a very easy solution: I draw the lines in backstitch in dark grey. It works - although I still would prefer it if the program itself did it for me.

Sorry about the late reply. I have been out of the office for a while.

This is a confusing issue, and I had to play with it a while myself to see what is going on.

The setting for the grid line width is actually a percentage of the grid square, not a number of pixels to use. The problem is happening because of rounding. The default values for the grid lines width are 1 for normal and 5 for bold. When you are exporting, 1% of the grid square size and 5% of the grid square size both are less than one, so we round up to 1, which is the smallest number of pixels a line can be drawn. In order to get a bold line that was 2 pixels, I actually had to increase the size of the bold grid lines to 10%. We usually default the regular grid lines to grey and the bold lines to black so they are distinguishable at the same size.
