I have 2 problems I haven't seen addressed here before. I am using PC Stitch 6.4.

About 5 to 10% of the time when I print a pattern chart and floss chart to pdf...the floss part of the chart will overflow in parts onto the second page of the floss chart & instructions with overlapping parts so that one cannot always read parts of it. Below are 2 pictures of a floss chart to show you what I mean.....

And no matter what I try to do ... I can't get it to quit it on those particular patterns. Once in a while a few of them are still readable...but it doesn't look professional. Below are 2 pictures of what I mean...and sometimes it is even worse than that!

Does anyone know what is causing this?

The second problem is that I recently bought a new computer and installed my PC stitch program on it. For some reason it does not look the same on the new computer...but I can get use to that. What is causing a problem is that when I printed to pdf on the old computer...each pattern would have a certain number of pages depending on the size of the pattern and the numbers of stitches per inch that I chose to print out.

So let's say for example, that the pattern I'm working on is printing out at 10 pages to pdf on the old computer.

When I print the VERY SAME pattern set at the VERY SAME settings on the new computer...it's printing out to MANY MORE pages to pdf on the new computer! It could be anywhere from 20 to 30 pages instead of the 10 on the old one! Wuz up wid'dat?

I don't like that because the more pages there are to a pattern the less likely people are to want them.

I would appreciate any help or suggestions anyone could give me with these problems.

For one thing, you are using a very old version of PCStitch. It's possible that this issue has been addressed in the newer versions. Right now, the supported versions of PCStitch are 7, 8 and 9.

Version 9 has a method to export the floss usage list to a .csv file which can be loaded by spreadsheets and that gives your flexibility for spacings, formatting and calculations.

I suggest you email Mark or Troy and ask about the issue. They are the ones who could best answer the question.
