I have used PC Stitch for free for a while and decided to pay my admission to the fight.

I had already downloaded and was using it when I decided to buy. I got an unlock key and was using the system with no problems.

Today, I received a CD in the mail with software.

Do I reload using the CD or what? I don't want to mess up things.

Thanks in advance. C2

As far as I know you don't have to do anything as you have received the code and it has been accepted, you just have purchased the hard copy of the software and not just the registration code to unlock the downloaded software.

I've been known to use the download/unlock version for over a year before I actually used the CD and then only because I had changed PCs. If you re-install from the CD, you may have to go through the various updates and that can be difficult in some cases to get exactly where you need to be.

The only difference you should see between the download/unlock and the CD versions is the splash screen. If you download and unlock, there is a "Registered to" message on the splash screen which is not there for the CD version. Otherwise, the products work the same as any other (at that level).

One more point (I forgot to add). A minor change was made to Standard this week that users who have BOTH Standard and Pro should take note. If you have installed the CD version of Standard (7) and you have pro installed, an uninstall of Standard will cause you to lose ALL your personal setting in Pro. The download should have that little problem fixed! (I hope). The CDs will eventually be re-mastered but right now they have the little glitch.
