Hi, this is what I would do to change color in just a certain section. Add the color that you want to your color list then choose the paint button and go over the stitches you want to change. I know it is a lot of work, kinda but that's how I do it. Hope this helps..

| You should just simply be able to right click to delete the old color and re-click with your new color. |

You can mark a section and then select a new color and you can chose to replace just in the marked area. The key is you don't have to remove any stitches or paint, just one shot and all of a specified color is changed.
Diane There is no such thing as a stupid question |

Hello,
There is an easier way to do this, but it is a little tricky.. Let me see if I can explain.
You can replace or blend flosses in a selected area, but that area must be completely selected before you can. I bet you are asking what I mean by that…??? OK. Here goes…
Lets say you have a pattern that has 4 red squares (4x4 stitches) in each corner. Now lets say you want to change the red square in the upper left corner to blue. You start by drawing a selector around the 4x4 red square in the upper left corner (Use the black arrow toolbar button to draw your edit box). Notice that the edit box has the sizing thumbs around it. That means that area has not been completely selected yet. Click your mouse INSIDE the edit box. Notice that the thumbs are gone? That area is now completely selected… (I know that is kind of tricky.. Mark and I have had many discussions about this subject…)
Now, while your square is selected, drag a blue floss from the available panel and drop it on the red floss in your floss panel. You will see the same pop-up menu, but you will now notice that the Blend and Replace menu options slide out, allowing you to blend/replace that entry for the entire pattern or just the selected area. Pick the Selected Area menu option. Your single red square will become blue…
I know that is a little tricky, but I hope this helps you understand it better…
Sincerely, Troy
