When I change the line width for drawing backstitches, it doesn't take effect until I start a new pattern. From what I can see, the line width is set in the pattern file, not in the program options, and there is no way to change the line width once a pattern in started (except doing it again from scratch). Is this correct? And if it is, is there any prospect of changing it? (I've got the latest update of Pro)

Pull up the Pattern Properties, not the default option settings. The second tab is "Display". There is a section on the bottom half of the display for "Object Size Settings". The first one is for the backstitch. The default is 20% of the grid square.
The setting under "Options" sets the base value when you create a new pattern. To change from there, use the Pattern Properties. It's just like setting the background color.

| Thank you, Diane! Works like a charm, now that I'm on the right menu. I change the background colour all the time, but I think I'd stopped seeing the lower half of that tab. |
