Hi, I'm new to the boards but was glad to find it. I own both PC Stitch 5 and 7. I download a lot of Christmas cross stitch to use on greeting cards and would like to find a way to reduce a pattern from its larger size to the same pattern only smaller inchwise. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Dodie
Just stitch the same design using smaller (higher count) fabric. Instead of using 14 count aida, for example, use 18 count. The additional 4 stitches/inch will reduce the size of the pattern.
You don't have to do it in the size listed in the instructions.
I appreciate your response but I don't use cloth. I use 14 ct. perforated paper.
In that case only option is to find perforated paper with higher count, which may not be 1. possible (I don't know does perforated paper come in higher counts), 2. an option (taking mentioned eyesight problems).
There's no other way to make the design smaller and keep it as it is than affect to the 'foundation'. (There's also the option to leave parts of the design off, but then it's not the same anymore.)
