My grid lines are showing darker every ten lines on the horizontal, which is what I want. However it is showing darker every 20 lines on the vertical. How can I change that? I have looked at the grid line settings and they are set at bold every ten on vertical and horizontal. |

I have NO idea! Is it on the display or printed? If printed, what happens if you use a different printer (such as a pdf printer)?

If your settings are fine and you see it fine in the software itself, it may be something to do with your PDF printer. Do you see the extra dark lines if you do a print preview? If not, try a direct print. That would definitely point to the PDF printer.

I'm having a problem with grid lines in the program. If I show the chart at 100% there are only the small lines. I can show at 150 or anything above or below 100% and I see the dark every 10 lines. I can't figure out how to see them when I see the chart at 100%. Any help appreciated. I can print fine, I just need to see it when I'm working in the program. Iris

You can change the definition of the lines and the bold lines. Maybe using a different color. The problem is probably your monitor not being able to show the bolder at the smaller resolution.

Sadly that's didn't change anything. I can see the dark lines in any size EXCEPT 100%. I can see them in the smaller sizes (though then the individual lines are absent) and I can see them in 150% and over. I've tried changing the size and I tried making them a color other than black. I've tried banging my head against the wall. None of those made any changes. Iris

Just out of curiosity, you say it only fails at 100% scaling. What if you set it to 99% or 102% or something like that. It's too small a difference for your eye to see. If it fails, you might try going up and down to see at what point it comes back so you can see the range of failure. That could be incredibly useful for Mark if he needs to try to fix the issue.
Does it do it in full screen or with a smaller window, or both? I don't see the issue so I can't test it.
One other thing to try - change the size of the pattern. Instead of 18 count, try 14 count or even 10 count. That will make the grid change size and may affect this issue, too.
Besides, even with my eyes having cataract removal, I usually use 200% for 14 count. The only difference the count makes (other than the base size of the squares) is for the estimated floss usage and that's not all that accurate anyway.

Okay, let me clarify. I'm not trying to stitch from the screen, I'm designing. Sometimes over 100% is good, sometimes I need 100%.
I have no idea how do change to anything except what's listed in the program. Top left corner, shows all the percentages that are viewable, starts at 10% goes to 800%. At anything below 100% only the heavy black lines are visible. I can use the smaller ones to see what it's going to look like finished, and I sometimes use the very large ones when designing. If there's a way to make it 99% or 102% - unless we're talking about two different things. It's in full screen or small.
I've tried everything you suggested, AND, suddenly SOME of my charts are viewable with the heavier lines at 100%, but still not all.
I may have muddled the water for you trying to explain this. I've been using this program for a long time and this has only showed up on the last few months. No changes to my computer. I'm wondering if I need to uninstall and reinstall the program?
Thanks for trying to help. Iris

I understand that you're trying to design from the screen - not stitch. Even so, my eyes have never let me do it at 100%.
As for changing the "zoom" factor. You're not restricted to JUST the numbers in that drop-down menu. When you click on the down arrow, The "current" setting is highlighted (background in blue). You can TYPE whatever number you want there. That's what I meant by using odd numbers like 99 or 102.
You may not have changed anything but your operating system probably has! I noticed recently that one game I played on Win 10 when I first put it on won't work at all anymore and I haven't touched it. Another game popped up with a message for me to run it in Admin mode ONCE to get it to work right. Just because you don't change things doesn't mean nothing has changed. If you've upgraded to Win 11, that's another possible issue.
You can try a reinstall. Make sure you do a reboot in between the uninstall and the install. If that doesn't work, try contacting Mark. You should have enough posts now to send him an email through this board.

WOW, I just opened the program to work in it today and there are all my lines in 100% - I have no idea what I did to change it, but it's working this morning.
Also, tried changing to 102% as you suggested. That worked too - apparently I was trying to do it wrong previously.
And maybe the whole problem was operator error. At any rate, thank you for your patience and for your help. Hopefully I'm back in business now.
