hi, was wondering if there is a way to load a file i got from someone that is in pdf format in pcstich? the version i got is version 10. reason i need to do this is that the person who i purchased this version from didn't notice that there was a symbol that is used twice for 2 different colors. thanks in advance.

There is no way to import a file in PDF format. It is simply not compatible. The best you can do is to try to make an underlay of the pattern if you can (you may have to change it to a JPG to do that) or to manually convert the pattern.

Good Luck,

Diane

Ghostwolf,

There are a variety of sortings you can do on your floss palette (colors/symbols used in a pattern).

If you right click within the floss palette, there is an option for Palette Tools and from there you can sort it in various ways (default is order added). You can even manually re-order the colors used.

There's a bug at the moment with PCStitch 11 (I'll be sending a message to Mark in a minute) where if you try to do that, you have to back out and back in after every move because it overlays the description but not the color. It's quickly unreadable! The bug is not there with PCStitch 10.

To create a PDF file, all you need is a PDF virtual printer (such as one that comes with Foxit and I believe Adobe Reader has one, too). Just "print" and specify the pdf creator virtual printer as the destination and you've got a PDF!

Good Luck,

Diane
