The 1-Inch Bold Grid Squares in grey graph are not now suddenly showing, Had no problems until I downloaded your PCStitch Viewer. The version I am using is the lateest version 10.00.023 on Windows XP.
The settings for the squares do not work no matter what values I input in the Options and Properties. When I changed the bold lines to the value of 50, it finally shows up. However, this is not usable as it throws the squares off.
I uninstalled the PCStitch software multiple times, cleaned registry files, along with the PCStitch Viewer.
Reinstalled the PCStitch CD three times and nothing changed. My Co. name was still there as a default along with my settings. Why? Though I cleaned the registry, my CD was not able to start from scratch and work properly.
Is there a hidden registry that I am not aware of? Is it a bug that I'm dealing with.
What to do? Cannot work without the Bold 1 Inch Squares! Please advise. |

Martaj,
Your first problem is that you are running on a very very very old operating system. Windows XP is no longer supported and this product was designed for Windows 7.
The PCStitch Pattern Viewer (if that's what you're referring to) is also old and may be confusing the issue. It does not accept patterns in formats for version 8 or above.
Cleaning out the registry for any PCStitch product is difficult. I KNOW! Some years ago, I was trying to install the Pattern Pieces Library (now included in version 10) and was having all sorts of issues. I ended up doing searches and removing all I could find for PCStitch and M&R technologies.
What I recommend you try is Revo Uninstaller. If you are running a 32 bit version of windows, there is a free version. However, I do not know if it still supports XP. It is designed to look for hidden files and registry items that the normal uninstall misses.
Your information that was retained may not be a registry entry but a data file in such as ProgramData or your documents folder.
As to why it suddenly started doing this, I don't know. Have you done a reboot?
If you still cannot get it to work right, use the Contact Us point and send a message to Mark. He's the only one who might be able to help you from the code's point of view.
Good luck,
Diane There is no such thing as a stupid question
