For PCStitch 10, what version of download do I select? The only choices are 8.1 or lower.
I had PCStitch 9 Pro on my previous computer but I've upgraded to Windows 10 and want to install PCStitch 10.
TIA, Audrey

PCStitch 10 is the latest version so that is what you should use for Windows 10.
However, be aware that NO version of PCStitch has been written especially to run under 10. From the reports I'm hearing, there appears to not be a big problem, which is NOT surprising.

I am running into trouble installing PC Stitch 10 on a Windows 10 64-bit computer.
1: the first problem is that during the install process I receive an error message that says it can't access the file MSVBVM60.dll with a description that this is not a valid Win32 app. I tell it to ignore it and then the installation continues and appears to finish.
2: When launching the program I receive the message that .NET Framework3.5 is not installed. I tell it to go install it, but it fails. The error code is 0x800F081F. I look up that error code, but I can't figure out the directions.
(I am a long time fan of PC Stitch, and have 100's of patterns that I've saved, I really need to figure this out.)
Thank you!

Contact Mark. He's the one to address this issue. Look for his profile on this board and send him an email.
Be aware that this is a Friday night and Monday is a Federal holiday so it may be a few days before you get an answer.
Good Luck,

Gretch, did you ever hear from Mark on this? If so, would you mind sharing the answer? I'm getting ready to build a new computer this weekend, which means moving to Windows 10, and I absolutely do NOT want to lose access to this program. |

I'm trying to install PC Stitch 10 on a new laptop with Windows 10. The install process stalls and gives me a "redundancy" error when it hits the file that ends in Halloween. The CD makes absolutely horrid noises in the drive. It was only used once to install on my previous laptop and has been sitting in its box on the shelf since then. Any suggestions? |

First - see if another disk works in that drive.
Next -- it is possible that the disk has warped or gone bad. They do occasionally. I once bought a 2 disk set of games (one game/disk) and both had warped within a year or two. ONLY those disks have ever warped.
If you continue to have difficulty with the disk, contact Mark. He might be able to help you with a download version of the product after proof of purchase somehow. I make no guarantees but it can't hurt to ask.
