I just purchased PC Stitch 10 and have a few questions that I have not been able to figure out.

Can I make up my own grouping of floss colors (from multiple brands) that I can import to a new project so I don’t have to keep searching through all the floss brands to find the colors I prefer?

example: I want to make sure I have 8 distinct shades of purple that blend well together, but no one brand has all of them, so I have to hunt through all the brands, and even then I can rarely pick the same colors as my previous project.
Perhaps If I were able to make my own ‘brand’ of my own choices, it would take a lot of the stress out of choosing a color spread...
I don't care HOW I do it, but I need to be able to come back to the exact same shades.

Thanks!

You can create and save your own "palette" and it doesn't care where that palette comes from. Pick your colors and save your palette and you should have what you want.

Ok I did make my own floss palette, but how do I find the 'palette' file so I can make sure that I have it if my computer crashes and I have to reinstall PC Stitch?

Thanks!

Sheri,

Look in C:\ProgramData\PCStitch 10\Flosses. Note -- ProgramData is usually a hidden folder so you may have to turn off that hidden flag first.

When you created your floss palette, you had to give it a name. Look for that name in that folder.

Good Luck,

Diane
