I'm having an issue on trying to get the bold grid lines to show up to where is shows the 10 by 10 square. I have gone in tools options and grid line settings and it shows that the bottom number is 10 / 10. Can anyone help me with this?

Debbie,

You set the color and the width of the bold line wherever it is set in the Options under tools. Default is a width of 5 and a color of Dark gray.

The frequency, both horizontal and vertical is set below that with both having a default of 10.

If your pattern is ONLY a 10 x 10, you won't see the bold lines because that's on the edge of the grid. The bolding on the edges is not shown.

Debbie,

If you zoom in enough, the bold lines won't show. If you zoom OUT enough, no grid lines will show.

By default, the grid lines are the same thickness whether they are bold or not. The difference is the color. Normal grid lines are light gray while the bold lines are dark gray. Try changing the color to something more contrasting and maybe increasing the size a bit.

However -- you won't see the change on the pattern you are doing. It shows on a new pattern. I'm not sure how to get an existing pattern's gridding to change.

To change grid lines in an existing pattern, it must be done in pattern properties
