Is there any way to find the number of colours used in a pattern? Without manually counting the colours that show up in the floss palette.

The floss usage chart shows them all and you can export that to an Excel spreadsheet (you lose the symbols). You can also estimate it by knowing how many colors you can put on one row of your floss palette.

However, there is not "automatic" way of saying how many colors are there.
