PCStitch is not designed for crochet. It can be used as any craft that can be patterned using a grid can use PCStitch. You will have to just ignore any usage estimates and possibly your materials. Just go for color.

Although I do crochet, I do not know if a single crochet stitch is "square". If it is not, then you might have to tweak the size of the grid so the width/height is not the same or your design might look wrong -- have the wrong aspect ratio.

If I understand what you are trying to do, you simply want to make each square one single crochet. The starting row and turning instructions would not appear on the grid.

From there, it's all on your own. Just play with it and you'll figure out the tools that work best for you.

The single crochet stitch is one square on grid. But what I'm saying I have heard some crocheters say the PC stitch will do row count for you instead counting each box or square on graph the PC Stitch would put it down like this
5 pink 45 black. 10 white and so on. Is that true and how?

Thanks Hugs Joan

The only "row count" that you don't have to manually count is using the bolder lines of the grid (default every 10). That will help with your count but the entire concept is "counted" stitches so you are expected to quickly count. The grid lines will just make that faster.
