Hi. I just got my new PC Stitch Pro today. I'm so excited. I need some help please. After i create a pattern i understand that i have to use a convertor to put the pattern into PDF. How do i get the original picture, symbols and floss numbers to appear on the pattern? Thanks in advance. |

If you "print" to the PDF (using something like PrimoPDF, you'll see just what you would see if you actually printed it - grid, symbols, legend, instructions ... just what you specified.

Hi Mesissy
With the Primo pdf thingy, you don't actually need to print it out. It sort of pretends to be a printer and you tell it what you want printed, then instead of actually printing it, it converts it to a pdf file which you can then print, save, put on memory stick and take to a friend, email it .... whatever. Or you can convert your pattern to a pdf then send it by email to someone who can print it out for you. It must be difficult to chart your designs and then not be able to print them out and stitch them .........!!!
Good luck! |

PrimoPDF is a "virtual" printer that can be used even if you have no "real" printer.
It's free. You can get it at: http://www.primopdf.com/
I agree with Daisy, it must be difficult to create patterns and not be able to print them off to stitch. I'm guessing that you want the PDF format so you can copy the file to a flashdrive and take it to a computer that has a printer and get it printed off that way.

You could put 'pdf creators' in an internet search (Google or Ask or something similar)or put Primopdf into a search . You'll find their site and you can download what you need. |

Another good PDF-creator is Cute PDF Writer. I've used it at work and at home, on various versions of MS Windows, and it works BEAUTIFULLY. It's a free program--just Google it.
I've used it to print out PC Stitch patterns from other computers when I wanted a nicer printout than my home inkjet printer could manage. The computer you take it to doesn't need to have PC Stitch installed--just the ability to read & print PDF-formatted items! |
