Hello, I have recently gotten my new computer and installed PC stitch form CD and can't change the color of the stitch. I clic on the color and clic on the stitch and clic on the box, nothing, black, If I had a PCstitch image opened up and it had two colors (a car) (all I got was blue) I could not add my own colored text. When I went to print preview I did not like what I saw. |

Charles,
I'm not sure what you are doing. I suggest you go through the tutorial on creating a pattern. That should give you the basics of using the product.
What version of PCStitch are you using and what operating system are you using?
One more question - have you checked for updates?
It's possible that the software didn't install properly. If that's the case, the tutorial should show that by not working as it should.
Good Luck,

Not looking to good. I have just uninstalled pcstitch and reinstalled pcstitch form my cd version 9.01.008 tested for operation of text color, no go. Then down loaded update 9.01.009 followed the instructions on tutorial #2 and still have only black letters. The pallettes have good color and the images in the libraries have good color. The desktop icon is a lite blue square with red squares and a black needle and green thread. |

Are you clicking a different color in the palette before you type your text?

Do you maybe have your display definition to just black symbols instead of color blocks?

Don't know, I'll have to figure that one out. I selected a color and worked and it came up black in the print preview. I had selected a green and it showed the color as black |

Sorry I was using the wrong palette. I was using the one on the left you need to use the one on the bottom with the symbols. |

The palette on the left is where you select what colors are to be used in your pattern. the palette on the bottom are those that you have chosen for the pattern and from where you select the "active" palette.
All powerful products are a bit complicated to use. just click and see what happens. That's the best way to learn a product.
