Hi I've just received my PCStitch Pro disc and am exploring the program - really love what I've found it can do! However, I can't seem to find the floss usage summary anywhere - I need to be able to export this to dtp with pattern, legend and notes. Also, is it 'editable and formattable' ?
When exporting pattern I want to add the legend in colour blocks and/or symbols depending on the size of the pattern - why is it printed twice? Once next to the pattern just as floss numbers with blocks and symbols, and once at the end of the pattern with more info (but no thread useage)
How can I add blank areas to the pattern to insert formattable text for notes (I want to print them as part of the pattern, not use the 'floating notes' feature)
Thanks for your help |

Hello again; I've been looking more carefully (!!!) and have found the floss usage table. Sorry!!
Is there a way to combine the various info. tables - legend with colour blocks and/or symbols, pattern info. with colour description and number, and floss usage table - into ONE table for print and/or export? I want to avoid duplication.
I just want to show or print colour block and/or symbol, DMC thread number, colour description, number of threads needed and length of thread needed - but in one table. Is this possible?
I have tried converting each element to a pdf and importing to a dtp prog, but I can't then edit to remove duplication, or re-format them to match the 'house'style.
Thanks for your help - I've been going round in circles this morning trying to sort this! |

At this time, I do not know of a way to merge all the tables into one. One thing you can do is export the floss usage as a csv file (you lose the symbols on the left, if I remember right). That gives you a file that can be loaded into Excel or another spreadsheet package and can be used as the basis for this sort of processing.
The other tables you get into a PDF can possible be converted to a text file that can be loaded into a spreadsheet by using an external product such as PDF Converter.
There is a thread for suggested enhancements for the next version of PCStitch. You should consider posting this sort of idea there.
Diane There is no such thing as a stupid question

Thank you for that - I'll give it a try.
Is there a way to blank out part of the stitching grid to add text as notes rather than the 'floating note' feature? |
