My eraser will not work on backstitch. When I make a mistake, I can't fix it. Is there some other tool I need to use. Thanks.

Erase does not, and never has, worked on backstitches. To remove a backstitch, right-click ON the stitch and select "Erase Line". It's tedious for multiple stitches but the only other way to do it is to remove all of one color and backstitches are not always the only stitches for any color.
