The PCStitch Pattern Viewer not working
I can not open the patterns created with PCStitch 10.
Only opens the patterns created with version 7.
There is an error because the program design is PCStitch 10 is a version 10.00.23
And the PCStitch PATTERN VIEWER is a version 7.2.9
How I can solve the problem?
You should update the Pattern Viewer to open the latest version of the program.
This is causing me too many problems.
Please I need a solution ..... an answer.
Thank you very much, greetings

Note -- PatternViewer is famous for stealing the default rights to the .pat file extension. You have to use Windows Explorer to steal it back. You may end up with an odd looking icon but it does work.

The only way to avoid PatternViewer from being the default product from which to open a .pat file is to install it first and THEN install PCStitch.

If done that way, just double-clicking on the file will open it in PCStitch.

I understand ... I wish I had opened directly from the pattern viewer, but I understand that's not possible.
Will use to open files created with PCStitch 10 from the same program with the OPEN.
Thank you very much,regards

Any pattern you create in PCStitch 10 will open in PCStitch 10 and ONLY that of the PCStitch line. It will not open in PatternViewer or any other product. PatternViewer is a totally separate product. It's free but currently far out of date. I have no control over the software or any schedule for updates.

For now - just use PCStitch 10 to open such patterns.

If your pattern does not use some of the more advanced features (such as petite stitches), you can export the pattern to PCStitch 7 format. That will open into PatternViewer.

Hello Diane
I do not understand ... I bought the license of PCStitch 10
I have installed the software licensed PCStitch 10 and the Pattern Viewer.
When I save a file created with the PCstitch10 not let me reopen it because the Patter Viewer throws an error message (Error Code - 1 opening)
I need help, how do I open it?
Please update the Pattern Viewer.
I hope your help

The PCStitch patternviewer has not been updated in several years. It not only cannot handle PCStitch 10 but I don't think it can handle PCStitch 9 either. I'm not sure about 8.

Your best bet is to download and install the evaluation version of PCStitch 10 and use that to open any PCStitch files. Maybe even license it! Note that the evaluation version is limited in what it allows to be done (no saving of changes for example) but it is NOT time limited. You can keep it in that form as long as you wish.

Mark is aware of the problem. Someday the PatternViewer will be brought up to date.
