I purchased my version of PC Stitch standard through PatternsOnline some months ago. I have used it several times since then and have had no problems at all. However I am now restricted to DMC Light Effects when selecting my floss type colours, and brand. How can i get my options back?

the good news is that i have re-installed my PCStitchStandard programme and the colours are now available. thank you so much for your suggestiomn

Hi Diane,
many thanks for your response. When I hit the drop down menu i get only one choice ant that is dmc light effects - i have no other choice. I have recently re-installed the programme as i wasn't getting characters to identify the floss colours i chose, but i will do it again to make sure that i have covered all bases.

You should be able to click from a list of possible palettes when you go to the Floss Palette Window. The specific option should be from a drop-down menu for the floss list. Are you not seeing the other flosses?

Check where you installed the product. There should be a "Flosses" folder with a lot of .col files. If you cannot find them, try using Windows Search for ".col" to see if they are elsewhere and should be copied or moved back.

If all else fails, try to re-install it. If it is a licensed version, it should not affect the license.
