How can I convert the DMC floss colors to plastic cavass yarn colors? Also where can I find all the colors that come in the plastic cavass yarn.

My pattern has shown the DMC colors but it is too expensive to have to buy all that worsted yarn for just a few yards of the colors that are needed.

Is there such a thing as a pallett chart that will convert the DMC to the plastic canvass yarn?

I don't know about yarns but DMC floss and DMC tapestry wool do not have the same numbers. There is a product that will give you a conversion between the two (at least partially). Check out myriacrossFloss at www.myriacross.com

Hi Pat.

I got curious when I read your post and googled the subject. I found a link to a page that has many conversion charts for wools and floss.....

http://www.needlepointers.com/ShowArticles.aspx?NavID=1558

While looking there only quickly I got the impression that DMC floss and DMC wools MAY HAVE the same color coding.

Go there and see what you can find out. You might have to e-mail them but it's worth a shot.
