Hello,

I'm new to PCStitch Standard and am trying to convert a picture my son sent me into a pattern. The problem is all I want is the item on the picture and not the background. Is there a way of not printing out the background which really makes it hard to see.

Thanks,

Ron

You could try using some graphics software to remove the background of the image (as a separate file) before you import it into PCStitch. That would probably be the easiest thing. I don't know about standard off the top of my head but Pro allows you to specify what percentage of colors to allocate to the background. If you set that very low (like 1%), that would limit a lot of the background and you could manually remove those stitches later during the "tweaking" stage.

There is no such thing as a stupid question
