Can anyone tell me if either of the two softwares are compatible with Windows Vista?

The latest versions of both products ARE compatible with Vista.

I have Vista and both products without any problems.

For Pro - you must have at least 8.03.01. I believe only the latest 7.00.20 for Standard supports Vista.

If you have both - use the download form of Standard and get the unlock key. There was a problem with the CD form of this version where if you uninstalled Standard, it took out a lot of Pro. Also, Standard was very nasty about stealing control over the .pat file format from Pro and not letting it have it back. I do not know if the newer CDs have the problem corrected.

The download forms of both products work well together and allow you to have both without any problems. Even PatternViewer now works nice with the other products in relation to who owns the .pat file (default product).
