Now that I have puchased PCSTITCH I am playing with it to learn. Can someone tell me how to create the backstitch into my photo. I have been clicking on the backstitch button but I am not understanding how it works. New to PCSTITCH.

Ruth

I am looking for a program to create cross stitch patterns. Before I purchase I would like to know if I can only create a pattern from a library or can I take a picture that I have taken with a camera or found on the internet?

I answered your second question in your other post - you can import any photo into PCStitch. Please check some of the other threads for some tips on the process.

When you click on "Backstitch", it simply says you plan to put in backstitches and that is the kind of stitch you will be showing. From there, you need to actually put them in. The program does not know where to put any stitch without you telling it. You click to start the stitch and then click to mark the end. You can do a sequence of stitches - the helps will show you how to do that.

Please read the helps and try the tutorial. It's a great way to "get your feet wet".
