If I have a picture that has a image width of 1600..Do I want the make the stitches width 160..for the clearest picture???

It would make my picture a 8 x 6...Does this seem correct.

Also want is the best amount of colors to choose. Is 50 or 100 best to get the best picture..

A lower number of colors would result in fewer confetti stitches from the start (you should "tweak" to remove move of those as well). You should also work it to minimize the percentage of colors for the background so it doesn't "overpower" the foreground.
