i printed out a pattern for 28 count, the picture is clear, but i want it on a 18 count how do i figure this out without changing the pattern. i know it will be bigger and that it is more stitches but how many more thanks

You don't have to change anything, just calculate how big fabric you need.

The software uses the fabric count for the previews it does not change the grid in any way. Neither does the stitch count change.

I give you an example:

We have a pattern which is 50 x 98 stitches...

on 28 count it is 4,54 cm x 8,89 cm or 1.78'' x 3.5''
on 18 count it is ~7 cm x ~13.8 cm or 2.75'' x 5,43''

If you frame the design you need to add at least 3 inches on every side for framing.
