Is anyone running PCStitch on a Linux computer? I'm interested in your experiences if you are. I need to get it running for my wife. I'm a Linux "geek", but don't know much about PCStitch (she's the creative one of the family). The two approaches I can think of are Wine and VMWare.

Once I've gotten PCStitch running in Linux, I'll gladly post how I got it done, in case anyone else wants to know. Besides, it can only help the popularity of this great software if it runs on yet another OS!

We just upgraded to the latest Ubuntu and everything we have tried so far works great on Wine. I haven't put PCStitch on it yet (I have an old Windows set-up that I use for that.) I did have PCStitch running on our laptop with an older version of Wine and it worked great except for some of my PatternsOnline purchases it wanted an internet connection to verify the copyright or something like that, but I would try the latest version of Wine, my husband has even been able to run some CAD software with it.

I'm working on getting the standard to work under Linux. I imagine that, once it works, the same steps will allow Pro to work as well.

I plan on posting my results when (not "if" - "when" - I'm optimistic) it works.

I'm a Linux geek and a programmer, so this is actually kind of fun.

Slightly OT

As I always say: only reason why I can't even consider moving out of Windows is my designing software... So, if there was Linux version (for Pro) I'd be thrilled.
