Lisak,

Part of the problem is the original is not that sharp. I reduced it from 600X525 to 150 X 132 pixels and for 18 count. I made NO "tweaks" in colors or anything else. I used Pro but saved the file in Standard format so you could load it. The pattern is set for 150 stitches wide as well.

I hope it gives you a starting point. I'll email the data back to you.

The size of the stitches is not really an issue here, just the number of stitches. It appears that your image is too big at 500 stitches wide.

What size design were you wanting to do?

One other question. I'll not go further than a "raw" conversion and send back what I can figure out.

Edited - Removed the email address - no longer needed.

i went to paint and yes i see what your saying to do but when i do it i go to pc stitch and its very blurry. i want it to be on 18 count and even when i put it on a 24 count the picture is blurry. if i put it on stitches and make it 500 to 450 it starts to clear on 24 count but not much. i know im being stupid here why cant i figure it out? thanks

Mark,

You can resize an image using paint. On the EMS board at: http://www.cross-stitch-board.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18 I wrote the directions how to do it. It is an stretch/skew adjustment. The key is you keep the width and heights percentages the same to preserve the aspect ratio.

I don't think paint will resize the picture, just crop it off. You may need to use a graphics program like paintshop to resize your image.
