Hi...This is the very first time I have ever participated in a forum..I beg your patience. What should I do if I import a picture of a very blonde little girl, and the thread for her skin tones appear to be way too dark? If I change contrast/color, everything changes....just want to lighten up her skin. Thanks in advance for any help you provide...bam4514

Software gets the info from the picture you are using and converts to floss shades based on that. It's always good to remember that human eye sees things differently and therefore you need to tweak your designs to achieve best possible result.

You might find this useful in your quest for lighter skin tone: Changing skin tones (links directly to *.pdf)

Hi, Click on TOOLS, then Pallette Tools, then Floss Pallette. Add additonal thread colors, assign them a symbol. Go back to your graph and using the erase tool, try out the different colors to see which one works.
