ThereseM57,

You probably do not want to create a "library" for your personal patterns. The libraries are designed for small motifs that are inserted as parts of patterns. For example, you may copy in several small designs to make one larger design.

For your own FULL patterns, you would just create them and then click SAVE (or SAVE AS) and tell the program where you wish to files to be places.

For Standard, the default is "My Cross Stitch Patterns" folder within the "My Documents" folder. You can select any other place and it's perfectly happy with your choice.
