I am new to pcstitching and need help with printing out patterns. All I can print are black & white and I really want color. I've checked everything on my printer ( ink, online, etc.) it is functioning well. Is there something I am missing when I hit print/preview in pcstitch?
Thanks,
Crystal

Crystal,

If you try to print color blocks, what does the printout look like? Is it grey scale or do you get nothing?

Also, what kind of printer do you have?

Reminds me of something I have said some time ago in another forum (about getting in the staff because I am always hanging around there anyway..).

The one thing I can suggest is to check your default printer definitions. I have a color cartridge in my printer but I can tell the printer driver to ignore it when I print.

Hi Diane, Thanks for your response. Yes, I clicked color blocks and symbols and my color cartridges are full, I did check that out<g> ( Its usually the simple things that cause the biggest confusions!)
Any other suggestions?
Crystal

Basic question: are you sure you have a colour cartridge in your printer?

And make sure that you choose in Print Preview either color blocks or symbols over colour from Print Stitches As.

(Diane, I almost guessed that you'll answer before me! )

Crystal,

The print command in PCStitch includes options for you to specify the type of printing to do (color block, symbols, combined, etc.) as well as such options as the size of the blocks.

Look at the window you get when you do a print.
