I wish to create my own palette using only about 260 colors from DMC. Cannot find instructions on how to do this and make it my default palette. I am going full time RV'ing and don't have room for all thread colors, most of which I don't use. Wish to create palette of only those colors that are most used. Can anyone help me?

myriaCross Floss and myriaCross Floss PCS is a long list of additional palettes available for PCStitch. Floss is a mapper across various companies. If you want a certain color and don't have the brand mentioned in the chart, you can use Floss to find the closest approximation from other companies. Floss PCS is simply a long group of palettes that are placed with PCStitch Palettes and therefore are accessible from the palette drop-down menu.

I don't know. I only have a very basic "default" palette and just select from the full stuff (expanded brands as well) in the panel when I do any work. You might contact Mark Miller on the issue and request it be increased. I could see a limit of 255 but not 225. That number makes no sense!

Thank you for the info. I tried this and found tht PC Stitch will only accept up to 225 or so colors for a new palette so I have had to pare back the colors I wish to use. Is there anyway to over ride this?

You create your palette by selecting the colors you wish to add and selecting symbols for each one. You can save your defined palette, load it in again and make it the default palette by using the option Tools > Palette Tools > Make Current Palette Default (bottom option).

From that point, when you load PCStitch, that defined palette will load automatically for you to use in your patterns.
