Posted - 04/26/2006 : 05:43:30 I am using PC Stitch Pro since a couple of month and it is a BIG improvement . The only thing I liked more in previous PC Stitch was the way the legend is printed. In pro you have two squares for each color (1 is enough) and I can not print the strand count for each color. Would this be a possibility for a futur update ?
Keep up the good work and good service, Marijke |

Email me the pattern you have that doesn't work correctly, and I will see if I can figure out why.
Send it to me at mmiller@pcstitch.com.

Posted - 05/26/2006 : 02:08:12 Hi Marc,
You are right, it works with a new pattern, but not with an already existing one. I tried again today with a pattern I already had, but the same thing. Do you have a solution
Thanks again,
Marijke

Posted - 05/23/2006 : 15:32:10 Marijke,
I did a quick test with the latest software and a metallic thread, and it seems to work correctly.
If you start a new pattern and add a metallic floss, does it work?

Posted - 05/20/2006 : 02:50:11 Hello again Roy,
I just discovered something with the strand count or maybe it is just me. When I use one of the Kreinik metallic threads, my strand count in the legend is always 0. I changed it in the properties from default (which is 2) to 2 and it still remains 0. Can you help me once again ?
Thanks,
Marijke

Posted - 05/20/2006 : 02:35:46 Hello everybody,
I am sorry it took me so long to reply but I had some serious internet problems. Thanks Troy for adding this strand feature and for giving me the advice on the color blocks in the legend.

Keep up the good service. Marijke

Hello Everyone. This is Troy...
I wanted to let you that I have completed the feature to display strands on the information sheet. I went ahead and made the strand count optional, like other fields in the legend. You can choose to include it or not from both your system options and from the print/preview form.
The main part of the legend will display the strand count defined for full stitches. If, for that same palette entry, you have defined a different strand setting for another stitch type, that stitch type will be in the call-out section of the legend showing the strand setting.. For example: If the first color in your legend is setup to use 3 strands for full stitches, and 2 strands for petite stitches, the legend will display [3] in the main section, and the floss will also be in the call-out section showing [2] for petite stitches...
It works great. It will be available in the next maintenance release which is scheduled to be posted on Friday, May 12th....
Sincerely,
Troy |

There is no potentially about it. I will do this since, as much as I like not having to flip between pages, it is what I am used to and it will enable me to print with less pages without shrinking hte pattern

If you don't want the legend to show on each page, look at the print options. On the right side of the second tab is "Grid Page Palette". If you "uncheck" that option, you will not get the legend on each page.
Personally, I like the idea of the legend on each page, especially with a larger pattern. However, it will make the pattern require more pages potentially.
Diane There is no such thing as a stupid question |

Posted - 04/27/2006 : 19:30:52 Would this also stop it from printing the legend on each page? If not, how can I get that to happen?

Posted - 04/26/2006 : 10:53:23 Hello Marijke,
Thanks for taking the time to post your question. I can help...
From the print/preview window, there is a tab for the Information Sheet. That tab contains checkboxs that allow you to select the Legend Fields. PCStitch Pro allows you to choose the fields you want displayed in the legend. If you un-check color, the legend will print with a single square for each color. You can also select the default legend fields from the system options (select Options from the Tools Menu) so that your fields will be displayed the same every time you print...
Good suggestion for the strands field. I will see if I can add that feature to a future maitenance release. It would work like the other legend fields (Include or not include). How would you expect to see it displayed on the legend line? I thought something like "(2)" for 2 strands.. Your thoughts?
Sincerely, Troy |
