I create patterns and send them to other stitchers. The one I'm doing now is sent in two versions. One has no problems at all but the other one is getting messages that say:
"it belongs to Cheryl Miller (that's me)"

When they say okay then they get the following error message:

"PCStitch encountered error 106 opening the pattern file."

I have written to Jennifer about it but thought I'd check to see if anybody else has had this problem.

Cheryl,

I have had problems with Pro loading files that it thinks I don't have the authorization to load. I even had that problem with one of the samples until Mark sent me a new copy of it.

Are you possibly using some of the "pattern pieces"? I don't mean the default ones but some of the extra (12 avaiable)? If you are, that may cause your problem. It's just a guess but I understand that others cannot open such patterns unless they have a copy of that pattern piece set.
