Can anyone tell me how to get to the Floss Editor? I'm running Windows 10, which (as far as I can figure out) only gives me the option to change or uninstall a program; it doesn't open a program folder, with nested files and folders within it. My PCStitch is the Pro product, version 9.01.011. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'd had the software for a good while and only recently started working with it. If I had $50 I'd go ahead and invest in version 10,but it'll have to wait til later this year

Note -- with PCStitch 10, the Floss editor is incorporated into the rest of the program. That was why I wasn't sure about the issue before. I used to have 7, 8, 9 and 10 installed so I could help users at any level. I even had 6 for a while but the others are so old now that when I upgraded to this machine 3 years ago with Windows 10, I got a bit lazy and just put on the latest version.

Thanks again. Last night I set Windows to search for the editor and when I checked this morning, it was there. Adding colors isn't difficult at all, and I found several iterations of DMC RGB charts online.

I'm going to look at the possibility of upgrading to Version 10.

Auto checks for software does not detect a major release change. It only checks within that release.

Release 9, pro or standard, will only check for updates for 9. Release 10 was a total new package released several years ago. It is the standard. It appears to work fine for the newer Windows (8, 8.1 and 10) but was released before they were out and therefore was not tested for that prior to it's release.

I have not heard of any newer version of PCStitch since 10.

Note -- when a new major release is available, it is not an automatic upgrade. There is usually a reduced fee to upgrade to the new release.

Thanks for the response. Since the software automatically checks for updates when I open it and it says there aren't any, I thought I was up to date. I'll do some more looking around.

You're running a level behind on PCStitch. The current version is 10. I do not have 9 installed anymore but I believe the floss editor was a separate product with a separate shortcut.

There has to be a way, as in all versions of windows, to manually look at folders (not just the shortcuts) so you may have to look for the installed location (default is Program Files (x86) -- for 64 bit machines).
