I use the underlay function to trace a pattern so I can change it. However, once I type a stitch, I can no longer see the underlay. So when I go to do the backstitching, I can't see the underlay to tell where it goes. Also, it's hard to tell if all the stitches are right without being able to see if then match up with the underlay. Is there a way to make the pattern "transparent", so I can see both it and the underlay at the same time? I like PCStitch best, however it's a hassel to have to type the pattern in in Pattern Maker and then convert it to PCStitch.

Also, I can't seem to find a way to turn the underlay on & off. I can clear it, but then it's gone. Sometimes I just want to turn it off so I can see how it's going, then turn it back on.

Hi Candy
As far as I know there's no way to do what you are asking - when I want to see how it's going, I select and copy the area I've done and move it to an empty part of the chart - I can then delete it when I've seen it and the original is still over the underlay.
