Since i dont have a printer, this program is useless to me? How am i supposed to know what symbols match up to the floss colors? I am so very disappointed. Had i known this, i would have just bought the cheaper version and i could have saved some money. At least if i could save it to a PDF where it has the floss numbers and symbols, i could take it to print shop and have it copied. If anyone has any ideas, please advise me. Thanks. Cheryl

Hi Mesissy

Whichever cross stitch design program you buy, from whatever company, you will have needed to print out the pattern. You have actually chosen the best program, so that's a great start isn't it?

I often share patterns with friends - print to pdf then save the pdf onto a memory stick and take it round to them, or add it to an e-mail - either way they can print it out.

Perhaps you could consider buying a printer - there are some great deals around at the moment - it is useful for so many things. I use mine to scan in photos, photocopy and share recipes .....

You can choose the symbols you want - there is a huge range to choose from - open the symbol panel, click and drag to the colour you want to have that symbol on the colour palette. You can either choose dark symbols for dark colours, or choose symbols that are easy to tell apart when they are next to each other on the patter - it's up to you!

Good luck

You can SAVE it to a PDF by "Printing" to a "virtual" printer such as PrimoPdf.

If you do that, you can have everything: Your Pattern with symbols (even with colored blocks), your legend (that includes) the floss codes and the symbols and any special instructions.

If you want an image of what the pattern might look like, you can set it to "virtual stitches" and export that to a Jpg and even have a picture (it will be separate from your PDF unless you have a product that can put them together).

Printing to PrimoPDF does work and I have used it myself. Whatever you see in the "Print Preview" will be in the PDF file.
